Predators, Prizes and Peoples Temple

The cast of the 1987 film "Predator" featured two future state governors: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura. Sonny Landham, who recently ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Kentucky, was also in the film.

George Bernard Shaw refused to accept his Nobel Prize, saying, "I can forgive Alfred Nobel for inventing dynamite, but only a fiend in human form could have invented the Nobel Prize."

The term "Koolaid drinkers" stems from the mass suicide/murder, on this date in 1978, of 909 members of the People's Temple Agricultural Project that Jim Jones created in Jonestown, Guyana.
