1. A survey of 100 inmates, whose crimes ranged from murder to drug possession, asked what they thought was the biggest deterrent to prevent a house from being burglarized. Their answers were listed here: I've been robbed.
2. Some people fall from the roof of a one-story house and die. Other people fall from thousands of feet up, without parachutes (or, at least, without parachutes that work) and live to tell about it. An interesting treatise on non-lethal freefalls can be found here.
3. Being fairly narcissistic, I am often surprised to find out that other people dug stuff even before I starting to dig it. Take, for example, beer. 4. When I've enjoyed a few beers, I sometimes like to throw boomerangs around. If I don't have my boomerangs with me, and need to make a new one, I can just click my mouse over here and start from scratch.
5. Are you a superstitious person? Did you ever wonder whether you are observing the correct superstitions? I did. But not any more.
They don't teach this stuff in school. But they should.
