    It had to be some other school. That one taught that the U.S. had 53 states, including Puerto Rico. They just don't have a star on the flag yet, because we haven't gotten around to giving it to them.

    Wait a minute.... That's it! Until you get your own star, you get to field your own Olympic team. Yeah, that's the ticket!

    My son brought up this very same thing the other day. He's considering going to college to be a history teacher and now believes the people who let Puerto Rico form a team in the Olympics were probably taught by the teachers in California who were adding the 4 branches of government to their curriculum.
