Filthy Restaurants

Have you ever wondered which restaurants are the filthiest. MSNBC just did a great expose on major restaurant chains and health violations. The worst, with 1.6 violations per inspection, was TGI Friday's. That finding did not surprise me. That's all I'm willing to say publicly.

The worst I have ever seen was in Bali in Indonesia. I went on a tour from Jakarta. After a few days we arrived in Bali and walked into a restaurant.There were two tables inside the entrance door that were covered in flies. I said to the tour guide and the restaurant owner ;I'm not eating in this filthy joint.I had to go to the toilet a short time later and it was disgusting.It consisted of a hole in floor boards with an accumulation of excreta about two feet below the boards with the whole lot crawling with maggots and with flies accumulating around .I decided after a while that the only safe thing to eat in some of the disgusting open restaurants in Java was rice porridge which was always boiling hot
No doubt conditions have improved since 1981 .I certainly hope so
