    Actually, all an APS camera does is mask off the top and bottom of the film when the exposure is taken; the rest is then blown up. So a "panorama" APS pic is actually slightly (very slightly) grainier than one with more normal aspect ratio.

    So if you want that effect, zoom out a bit wider when you take the pictures, then crop them to the desired aspect ratio later on.
