I have been back and forth with this company since March 2006. When I first called to cancel and get a refund I was told that my wife authorized this, but when I asked what is my wife's name they said it was not in the records.

I have been put through the ringer. I just found out last night by calling AT&T about a bundle offer that we were getting charged $12.95 per month for "Nationwide Assist Emergency Vmail Fee 1866 527-4969" since 2006. After several attempts to notify this company I was finally able to get through to them by AT&T calling them for me. The numbers I called got me speaking to no one. I spoke with some guy who said that "Lynn"...aka..."my wife" signed up for this service. When I asked the guy what the service was he told me that this service is for a "private voice mailbox that you can access anywhere in the world." I was like....wtf??? I told him that there was no way my wife would intentionally sign up for anything of the sort and that why in the world would anybody in their right mind sign up for a "voice mailbox that you can access anywhere in the world"??? Especially when we have a cell phone with voice mail and a home phone through AT&T with voice mail that we can access anywhere in the world". I told him about me researching this company online and finding that it is a scam and that there is a class action lawsuit in the process of being filed against them. He was real quick to speak to his "supervisor" to credit me back our money. He came back about 30 seconds later and told me that he was going to credit me back 48 credits worth totaling $621.60. He even gave me a conformation #. I wonder if I will ever see a penny of that money? I doubt it. These people need to be stopped. AT&T even credited me $181.30 for a years worth of charges and even discovered while sorting through all this mess that they have accidentally overlooked my account for the past few years for savings discounts and offers. They apologized for that and now our bill will be even lower than it has been in years! Thank you AT&T!!!

I have been with my phone company for over 15 years(At&t).I don't ever look at my phone bill I just look at the amount on the internet and just make a payment.I recently looked inside my phone bill inquiring about my call blocker and noticed I had been billed by Enhanced Services Billing Inc.I found out this company had been charging me $14.95 a month for the last 4 years.I called them and told them I have never authorized them to charge my bill for anything they said that they would issue me credit for 49 payments they had received totaling $794.81 I advised them to mail me a check for the amount they had been stealing for 4 years ,but after I was told they would send me a check within 7 to 10 business days I saw they had credited $643.55 to my phone bill something I told them not to do someone needs to put a stop to this company we are already struggling and we don't need anyone stealing our money.

I was billed $9.81 + tax by OAN Services, Inc through my at&t phone company. Told OAN on 2/25/09 to cancel and issue refund....not so. Called again on 3/24/09 and was told it was cancelled but no refund issued. Will be done today, and will take 30-60 days.....I am waiting to see what happens.....

    Unauthorized Phone Bill Charges?

If you were charged on your local phone bill for third party services and subscriptions (i.e., voicemail, email, Internet access, web hosting, caller-id and other premium services, etc.) that you never authorized, share your story with other consumers:

    Robin M,

I can't believe this company has the nerve to still be in business. I received my Verizon bill last night with two charges totalling $56.12 for bogus collect calls. I called OAN Services Inc. and was told the charges were for services in my local area, @ 2:12 & 2:25 A.M. no less, and that they must be paid. Long story short, I informed the representative that not only would I not pay them but I would report them to the States Attorney. The representative said he would have to speak to his "legal department" and would I please hold? He came back on the line and stated the charges would be credited in 30 days. I have researched this for most of the day today. I have contacted the FCC to file a report and have just now filed a report with the FTC after reading Dans post. Please read the FTC decision banning this company from doing business @ http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/03/cram.shtm, and contact them to report this ongoing abuse. Thanks to this site for all of the info, maybe we can stop this slime from continuing.

I called Enhanced Services and was originally told they see the charges, but couldn't tell me what they were charging me for. After about 30 mins I finally got someone to tell me what the charges were for (my own phone company) and even then ESBI said I knowingly signed up for the services and needed to pay. It took a hour overall and three different companies before I finally got the charges credited and cancelled. I had to put a block billing on my phone account in order to get them to stop.

I just got off the phone with OAN and ILD about these bogus phone charges and wanted to do some follow up research. We have been getting billed since October and they told me my mom and my husband were the ones who signed up. They had all of our info. How can they get away with this?? I'm going to wait the couple billing cycles to see if I get credited and call them back if I haven't. The reps were real nice about it and acted like I was so lucky to have one of the managers agree to have the charges taken off. ATT is sending me a form to fill out about cramming and slamming so hopefully this will put a stop to it.

    Dan

I too have been Crammed by OAN Services please file a report to the FTC, http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/03/cram.shtm they need your info to stop this kind of predatory billing.

I have been back and forth with this company since March 2006. When I first called to cancel and get a refund I was told that my wife authorized this, but when I asked what is my wife's name they said it was not in the records. They agreed to credit my account ($14.31 per month)and it would take 2 billing cycles. When this charge was still on my bill in June 2006, I again called and was told that there was a computer malfunction and to wait 2 more billing cycles. I waited 4 billing cycles and they were still charging me. Finally in April 2007 they credit me with $11.77 but started charging me for another service ($16.07). I have been to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint.

was billed 12.95 for ESBI,which I did't agree to do.
I called after I saw it on my bill, and reached Enhanced Services Billing, they say ok, you signed up by accident,we will cancel 12.95 from phone bill.
Next month it's on my bill again. I ended up talking to 3 service people, got 3 storys. The last agreed it would take 2 billing cycles for it to be refunded. Is there any hope, wait a month & I will let you know.
