Senator Arlen Specter, who is clearly jealous of all the attention the Super Bowl is getting, and all the attention he is not getting, wants the Senate Judiciary Committee to investigate why the NFL destroyed the tapes that revealed the Patriots had been spying on the competition.
"It's analogous to the CIA destruction of tapes, or any time you have records destroyed."
The senator is deliriously full of himself. Perhaps, now that the Senate has solved all other pressing problems in American society, they can investigate why NBA officials never seem to call carrying over, when it happens on a regular basis.
Maybe he could first--I don't know--investigate that very CIA destruction of tapes? Surely that might be more pressing than the NFL...
