Ranking ten movies I recently watched on DVD (No. 9)

Here are another ten recent pulls from the Netflix queue. I'll rate them with pluses, one to five. The scores in parens are from IMDB, with 10.0 being perfect. My rankings, obviously, do not match perfectly with IMDB's. I thought this was a bad run of ten, especially with the comedies.

1. Ratatouille (8.2) +++++ Disney's amazing rat chef. Brillliant
2. Mr. Brooks (7.6) +++++ This was a creepy look inside the successful serial killer.
3. Apocalypto (7.9) ++++ Scary, brutal, funny. Good twisty ending.
4. 300 (7.9) +++ Great fight scenes. Great lines. Worth seeing.
5. Riding in Cars with Boys (6.1) +++ A true to life drama that's kind of a downer.
6. The Devil Wears Prada (6.8) +++ Middle stars rating because the girls did like it.
7. Evan Almighty (5.6) ++ Got a little corny. Not as funny as Bruce Almighty.
8. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (6.2) ++ Stupid plot got in the way of mediocre jokes.
9. Unaccompanied Minors (3.4) + The worst Christmas movies in recent memory
10. An Inconvenient Truth (8.1) + More like an inconvenient mix of truth and lies. But the guy did a nice job on making the Internet, so I'll give him at least one "+".

The Kevin Costner movie was my second-favorite in the bunch. That tells you everything...
