The NBA is already down to just two undefeated teams, and just one winless team. With Utah losing today, the Lakers' victory over the Rockets and the Hawks' win over the Sonics Thunder left them with the only perfect records in the association. The Clippers' win over Dallas left the Wizards as the only team that hasn't won a game.
The Lakers trailed Houston by 15 points in the first quarter, but won by 29. So much for the idea that Ron Artest was going to make Houston great this season. That's not a great team I saw there. And the idea that the Grizzlies gave Pau Gasol away for nothing last year is losing some merit. While there was an element of a season's end salary dump to that trade, the teams did also trade Gasols, with Marc Gasol's rights going from L.A. to Memphis and Pau Gasol going to L.A. Little brother Marc is now playing for the Grizzlies, and his stats are almost comparable to his brother's through the first two weeks of the season.
