Here are another ten recent pulls from the Netflix queue. My one-to-five rating, plus a 1-10 rating from IMDB. Catching up and mixing in some documentaries this time.
- 21 (6.8) ++++ I loved the characters and liked the plot, with good twists.
- Bridge to Terabithia (7.4) ++++ Good, but not at all what I was expecting.
- Friday Night Lights (8.5) ++++ A good football story
- Champions of Troy: USC Trojan Football (NR) ++++ A good history of USC football through 2004
- When the Levees Broke (8.6) +++ Very good documentary about Katrina and New Orleans.
- Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (7.2) +++ Amusing, but too many annoying characters and odd plot twists.
- Elizabeth: The Golden Age (6.8) +++ Another good period piece. What more might you expect?
- Deliver Us From Evil (8.1) +++ Very disturbing insight into the Catholic clergy sex abuse problem
- Baby Mama (6.1) ++ Not Tina Fey's best work.
- Born Into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (7.8) ++ Objectively: good. Subjectively: all it did was bum me out.
