This week, I did not forget to mark USC as one of my money picks. It was the sweetest win of the season. And like last week, it was the difference between winning and losing. So I'm 3-2 on the week, and 31-22-1 for the year. Overall, I was 8-10, bringing me to 101-97-5 on the year. It's a good thing I don't bet on every game every week. The house's cut would have left me poorer for it. Here's how I did:
L #15 Wisconsin @ Illinois +14½
W #17 Nebraska @ #20 Michigan -3½
W * Indiana @ #12 Michigan St. -28
W Citadel @ #14 South Carolina -39
W Kentucky @ #13 Georgia -31
L #21 Penn St. @ Ohio St. -6½
L #7 Clemson @ N.C. State +7½
L * Mississippi St. @ #6 Arkansas -13
L SMU @ #11 Houston -20
L Colorado St. @ #19 TCU -34
W Boston College @ #24 Notre Dame -24½
L #1 LSU @ Mississippi +30½
W Virginia @ #23 Florida St. -17½ (straight up!)
W * #18 USC @ #4 Oregon -14½ (straight up!)
L #10 Boise St. @ San Diego St. +18
W * #5 Oklahoma @ #25 Baylor +15½ (straight up!)
L #16 Kansas St. @ Texas -8
L * California @ #8 Stanford -17
In unranked USC opponent play, I like:
L Minnesota @ Northwestern -15½
L Washington @ Oregon State +2
W Utah @ Washington St. +3½
L Colorado @ UCLA -11
W Arizona @ Arizona State -10½ (straight up!)
My rooting interests did pretty good. USC, Iowa State and Baylor all had monster upsets. BC played well, but lost. Michigan and Stanford stepped up like I wanted. It was a good week for me.
