In the battle to become the last unbeaten team in America, there are now 11 contenders left. Only Cincinnati lost last weekend. Here are the lucky eleven (with AP rankings in parentheses followed by their opponent this week):

5. Notre Dame (5) - @ Oklahoma

8. Mississippi St. (13) - @ Alabama
9. Louisville (16) - Cincinnati
10. Rutgers (18) - Kent St.
11. Ohio (23) - @ Miami OH

By conference, the totals are: Big 12 (1), Big East (2), Big Ten (1), Ind (1), MAC (1), Pac-12 (2) and SEC (3). The ACC, C-USA, Mountain West, WAC and Sun Belt have none.

This week, there is one match-ups between unbeaten teams - either Alabama or Mississippi St will end the week with a loss - so we could have anywhere from 1 to 10 unbeaten teams. Five undefeated teams hit the road this week. Five unbeaten teams draw ranked opponents. My guess is that the list will get down to 8 this week.
